Use ArcObjects to manipulate the Search Command in ArcMap.

Good morning,

Is there a way to manipulate the search command that is accessible by hitting CTRL-F in ArcMap? I've been able to successfully call it using ICommandItem.Execute but I was wondering if I could manipulate it by providing some search parameters in code?
